Points accumulate based on the first 8 races a racer attends (consecutive races not required but all races attended up to each racer’s first 8 will qualify).
There will be one drop from the first 8 races leaving the best 7 of the 8 races to qualify for points. Additional races attended will not count, only a racers first 8 submitted results.
Racers that do not reach a minimum of 7 races will be scored only on the races they compete.
Tracks that submit the minimum of 7 races or racers only completing 7 races will have all results qualify for points forfeiting the potential drop from completing 8 races. Tracks can initially submit up to 10 races to account for weather or allow racers missed dates.
Both Senior and Masters will be scored separately but combined to compete head-to-head for their respective National championship.
Both Junior 1, Junior 2 and Sports/Cadet classifications will be scored separately but combined to compete head-to-head for one (1) NORTH AMERICAN championship (for the United States and Canada combined).
PLEASE NOTE: ALL CLASSES WILL BE BASED OFF OF A 10 KART COUNT.
POINT SYSTEM:

3 karts = 3 points
4 karts = 4 points
5 karts = 5 points
6 karts = 6 points
7 karts = 7 points
8 karts = 8 points
9 karts = 9 points
10 or more karts = 10 points
Category 2: Finishing position
1st place = 10 points
2nd place = 9 points
3rd place = 8 points
4th place = 7 points
5th place = 6 points
6th place = 5 points
7th place = 4 points
8th place = 3 points
9th place = 2 points
10th place or above = 1 point
Category 3: Number of karts finished ahead of (maximum = 9)
In order for racers to qualify for this BONUS, tracks must identify their pre-final heat winner. Tracks submitting without identifying this will not be eligible to after the 14 day review period allowed from the day of the event has passed.
If a tie breaker is required it will be determined first by total points accumulated in the “finishing position” category. If this does not break the tie then the ‘”karts finished ahead of” category will be used.

DQ: QUANTITY OF KARTS PARTICIPATING IN THE CLASS= 0 points FINISHING POSITION = 0 points QUANTITY OF KARTS FINISHED AHEAD OF = 0 points. A DQ CANNOT BE DROPPED FROM YOUR BEST OF 7 SCORING.
